Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large beef steaks (sirloin or ribeye)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat a skillet over high heat until very hot. Add the steaks and sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or cook to your desired doneness.
- Reduce heat to medium and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook, spooning the garlic butter over the steaks for about 1-2 minutes.
- Remove steaks from skillet, let rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
- Serve hot, drizzled with remaining garlic butter and lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate steaks with garlic and herbs overnight.
- Use a cast-iron skillet for the best sear.
- Adjust cooking time based on thickness for desired doneness.
