Instructions
- Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions, salt, and pepper; cooked until fully browned and onions are translucent.
- In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk until smooth.
- Spread the cooked meat mixture evenly in a greased baking dish. Pour the creamy sauce over the meat. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots evenly over the cheese and sauce layer, covering the surface completely.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 40-45 minutes until tots are golden and crispy. Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for extra crunch if desired.
