- 1 lb boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons grated orange zest
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- Sesame seeds and sliced scallions for garnish
Instructions
- Coat chicken pieces evenly in cornstarch.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry chicken until crispy and golden. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, combine orange juice, soy sauce, honey, orange zest, garlic, and ginger. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Add the crispy chicken to the sauce, stirring to coat well.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and scallions before serving.
Notes
- Optional: add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
- Serve over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
