Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream, scraping up browned bits from the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cook until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and cook for another 5 minutes until cooked through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot over pasta or rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
- You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter option.
- Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or garlic bread for a complete meal.
