  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Additional melted cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add in the yeast mixture, melted butter, and minced garlic; knead until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  5. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Press each ball slightly and fill the center with shredded cheese. Fold and seal the edges.
  7. Arrange the rolls on the baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley and extra cheese.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden and bubbly.
