- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Additional melted cheese for topping
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add in the yeast mixture, melted butter, and minced garlic; knead until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Press each ball slightly and fill the center with shredded cheese. Fold and seal the edges.
- Arrange the rolls on the baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley and extra cheese.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- You can add cooked bacon or jalapenos for extra flavor.
