- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix mashed bananas and melted butter.
- Add sugar, beaten egg, vanilla, and cinnamon. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine baking soda, flour, and salt. Gradually add to banana mixture, stirring gently.
- Pour half of the batter into the pan. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon into the remaining batter to create the swirl.
- Spoon the cinnamon mixture on top of the first layer and swirl with a knife.
- Pour the remaining batter over the swirl. Swirl again if desired.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and moist texture.
- Adjust cinnamon for desired spice level.
- Let the bread cool before slicing for clean cuts.
