Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ lbs chicken tenders
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil or cooking spray
Instructions
- Set up three shallow bowls for breading stations: one with seasoned flour, another with beaten eggs, and the third with panko breadcrumbs combined with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.
- Dip each chicken tender into the flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally roll it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
- Arrange the coated chicken tenders on the baking sheet, spacing them evenly. Lightly spray the tops with more cooking spray for extra crispiness.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
- For extra crunch, add crushed cornflakes or pretzels to the breadcrumb mixture.
- Using a wire rack on the baking sheet allows air circulation for more even crisping.
- Experiment with spices like cumin, cayenne, or Italian seasoning for varied flavors.
