- 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional for thickening)
Instructions
- Place chicken in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
- Pour the mixture over chicken in the crock pot.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours until chicken is tender.
- Optional: Remove chicken and simmer sauce with cornstarch mixture until thickened, then return chicken to coat.
