  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cookies

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup fresh blueberries or frozen blueberries (thawed)
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mash ¼ cup of blueberries and mix with 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with ¼ cup powdered sugar until smooth. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, mixing well. Gradually add the flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing until just combined.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the sheet.
  5. Dot the dough with spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture and blueberries. Use a toothpick or knife to swirl and create a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown. Cool on wire racks.

Notes

  • For a more intense blueberry flavor, add extra blueberries into the dough.
  • Ensure cream cheese is softened for easier mixing.
  • Swirling the blueberries with the cream cheese creates a striking marbled appearance and flavor.
