Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound (450g) beef or Italian sausage (optional for added flavor)
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce or your favorite pasta sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start by cooking the sausage or ground beef in a skillet until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- Lightly spray your slow cooker with non-stick spray. Spread a layer of marinara sauce at the bottom.
- Add a layer of ravioli, then dollops of ricotta, sprinkle of mozzarella, and some cooked meat if using.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese and sauce on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, until ravioli are tender and cheese is bubbly. Check occasionally and add water or additional sauce if needed.
- Once cooked, turn off the slow cooker and let sit for 5 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with basil or parsley if desired.
Notes
- Feel free to add sautéed spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
- Use different cheeses or dairy-free alternatives to suit dietary preferences.
- For longer storage, freeze leftovers and reheat as needed.
