Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) beef or Italian sausage (optional for added flavor)
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce or your favorite pasta sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by cooking the sausage or ground beef in a skillet until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  2. Lightly spray your slow cooker with non-stick spray. Spread a layer of marinara sauce at the bottom.
  3. Add a layer of ravioli, then dollops of ricotta, sprinkle of mozzarella, and some cooked meat if using.
  4. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cheese and sauce on top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, until ravioli are tender and cheese is bubbly. Check occasionally and add water or additional sauce if needed.
  6. Once cooked, turn off the slow cooker and let sit for 5 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with basil or parsley if desired.
