Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes for chewier cookies.
- For extra chocolate flavor, add chocolate chunks or a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking.
