Ingredients
Scale
- 3 packs (3 oz each) flavored gelatin (such as lime, cherry, or clear for realistic eyeballs)
- 1 cup boiling water per pack
- 1 cup cold water per pack
- Fresh blueberries or grapes (for pupils)
- White candies (marshmallows or mozzarella balls) for sclera
- Red or black food coloring (optional for veins and blood shot eyes)
- Plastic eye candies or small round shiny candies (for extra realism, optional)
Instructions
- Boil water and dissolve the flavored gelatin in it. Add cold water per package instructions and mix well.
- Pour the gelatin mixture into small round molds or cups to form the white sclera of the eyeballs. Refrigerate until fully set, about 4 hours.
- Prepare small candies or blueberries for pupils. Attach them onto the firm gelatin using a tiny drop of edible glue or press into the gelatin before it fully hardens.
- Once set, carefully insert pupils into the center of each eyeball. Add red food coloring or veins to create a realistic bloodshot effect if desired.
- Refrigerate the assembled eyeballs for an additional 30 minutes to firm.
- Optional: decorate the base with red gel or food coloring for extra gory effect. Serve chilled on a spooky platter.
Notes
- Use clear or green gelatin to enhance realistic eyeball appearance.
- You can replace candies and blueberries with edible black ink drawings for pupils.
- For vegan options, substitute gelatin with agar-agar or plant-based gelling agents.
- Experiment with food coloring for bloodshot or veined effects to make your eyeballs more creepy.
