- 3 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hoagie buns
- 8 slices provolone cheese

Instructions
- Place beef chuck roast in the slow cooker and add sliced onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and beef broth.
- Cook on low for 8 hours until beef is tender and easily shredded.
- Remove beef and shred using forks, then return to the slow cooker to soak up the juices.
- Toast hoagie buns lightly, then layer shredded beef and provolone cheese inside each bun.
- Serve sandwiches with a bowl of warm au jus for dipping on the side.
