- 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- Optional: sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to the skillet. Sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant. Toss in bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently until vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return beef to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook for 2 more minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
- Marinate the beef for at least 10 minutes for maximum flavor and tenderness.
- You can substitute vegetables according to your preference or what you have available.
- Serve this stir fry over steamed jasmine rice or noodles for a complete meal.
- Use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free soy sauce substitute.
