Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450 g) high-quality beef sirloin or tenderloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
Instructions
- Start by seasoning your beef bites with salt, pepper, and herbs if desired. Ensure the pieces are evenly coated for consistent flavor throughout the cooking process.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef bites and sear until they develop a beautiful brown crust, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add the unsalted butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic. If you like a little heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes now.
- Return the cooked beef bites to the skillet. Toss well to coat evenly with the garlic butter sauce. Let everything cook together for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use high-quality beef for the best flavor and tenderness.
- Do not overcook the beef; aim for a tender, juicy bite.
- Adjust garlic and butter quantities based on your taste preferences.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle some Parmesan cheese or fresh herbs before serving.
