- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup cooked crab meat
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Add the cold butter cubes and cut in using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cheddar cheese, chopped crab meat, and parsley.
- Pour in buttermilk and gently stir until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of batter onto prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Meanwhile, prepare Lemon Butter Sauce: melt 1/2 cup butter in a small saucepan, add 2 tablespoons lemon juice, and stir well.
- Drizzle the warm sauce over baked biscuits before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh crab meat for best flavor, or canned crab if fresh is unavailable.
- Serve warm with extra lemon butter sauce for dipping.
