- 1 pre-made or homemade buttery pie crust
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Optional powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Press the pie crust evenly into the prepared dish and bake for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt butter and stir in brown sugar over medium heat until smooth and bubbly.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then whisk in eggs and vanilla.
- Fold in chopped pecans and salt.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the pre-baked crust, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the topping is bubbly and golden.
- Cool completely, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and cut into bars.
