Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Optional: chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added texture
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Add honey, vanilla, eggs, and melted butter. Whisk until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix for a fluffy texture.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Optional: sprinkle with nuts or chocolate chips.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice once cooled for the perfect fluffy banana bread.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and moisture.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread light and fluffy.
- Add nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruits for personalized variations.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for a week. Wrap slices in plastic wrap and freeze for longer storage.
