Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef sirloin or ribeye
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter, sliced onions, and peppers. Sauté until vegetables are tender.
  4. Return beef to the skillet, add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to combine.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top and let melt. Serve hot garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
