- 8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
- 1 lb thinly sliced beef sirloin or ribeye
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter, sliced onions, and peppers. Sauté until vegetables are tender.
- Return beef to the skillet, add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top and let melt. Serve hot garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- Feel free to add mushrooms or other vegetables for variation.
- Use a cheese blend for a richer flavor.
