- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 8 lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until softened.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, broth, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil.
- Add broken lasagna noodles. Reduce heat and simmer until noodles are tender, about 10-12 minutes.
- Stir in mozzarella cheese until melted and creamy. Sprinkle Parmesan on top.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef.
