Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add diced onion and minced garlic, cook until softened.
- Transfer cooked beef mixture to a slow cooker. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
- During the last 30 minutes of cooking, add uncooked macaroni. Ensure it’s submerged in the sauce, and cook until pasta is tender.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- Add chopped bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
- Cook pasta separately if you prefer to keep the sauce more saucy; add just before serving.
