- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen Tater Tots
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Mixture: Cook ground beef or turkey in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Add diced onions and garlic, cooking until tender. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Mix the Creamy Base: Combine cream of mushroom soup with sour cream in a bowl. Stir until smooth. Mix in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Assemble the Casserole: Spread cooked meat evenly in a greased baking dish. Pour the creamy mixture over the meat. Cover with a layer of Tater Tots.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until Tater Tots are crispy and golden. Sprinkle remaining cheese during the last 5 minutes.
