- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup walnuts, toasted
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Dip each shrimp in beaten eggs, then coat with the flour mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry shrimp until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, mayonnaise, and soy sauce to make the glaze.
- Toss the fried shrimp with the honey glaze until evenly coated. Add toasted walnuts on top.
- Serve immediately with extra glaze or dipping sauce.
Notes
- Toast walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until golden.
- Adjust honey amount for sweeter glaze.
- Serve with steamed rice or Asian vegetables for a complete meal.
