Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Optional: nuts or chocolate chips for extra texture
Instructions
- Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature. Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl until smooth and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract. Whisk in eggs one at a time until well incorporated. Add mashed bananas and mix thoroughly.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add these dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently to combine. Do not overmix to keep the bread fluffy.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan. Optional: sprinkle nuts or chocolate chips on top for added flavor and texture.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool slightly before removing from the pan.
Notes
- For added flavor, fold in nuts or chocolate chips into the batter before baking.
- Make sure not to overmix the batter to keep the bread fluffy and light.
- This bread is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature or refrigerated for up to 1 week.
