  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the sliced beef with cornstarch and a pinch of black pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining oil; stir-fry garlic, bell peppers, and onions until crisp-tender, about 3 minutes.
  4. Return beef to the skillet, add soy sauce and oyster sauce, and stir well to combine. Cook for another 2 minutes until heated through.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve hot over rice or noodles.
