- 8 oz spaghetti or your favorite pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the shrimp, toss to coat in garlic butter sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, toss to combine everything evenly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
- You can add a splash of white wine or chicken broth for extra depth of flavor.
- For a creamy version, stir in a splash of heavy cream before serving.
