Scale
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 box white cake mix (or yellow for variation)
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: fresh mint or whipped cream for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the sliced strawberries evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Blend the softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread over the strawberries.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the cream cheese layer without stirring.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use frozen strawberries if fresh are unavailable—thaw and drain excess moisture.
- Swap vanilla cake mix for lemon or chocolate to vary flavors.
- Add crushed graham crackers or nuts atop for extra crunch.
