- 1 lb sliced chicken or beef
- 3 bell peppers, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Juice of 1 lime
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Place sliced meat, peppers, onions, garlic, and spice mixture into the crockpot.
- Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours until meat is tender.
- Stir in lime juice before serving and warm tortillas on the side.
Notes
- Adjust spice levels to taste by adding hot sauce or cayenne pepper.
- Serve with guacamole, sour cream, and shredded cheese for extra flavor.
