Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg yolk and vanilla, mixing until combined.
- Gradually add flour and mix until dough forms.
- Divide dough into two equal parts. Roll out on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness.
- Cut out cookies using a round cutter. Use a smaller cutter to cut out heart shapes from half of the cookies for the tops.
- Place cookies on prepared baking sheets. Spread Nutella on the bottom halves, then top with the heart-shaped cookies.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on wire racks before serving.
