- 1 (20 oz) package of cheese tortellini
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Cook tortellini according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add marinara sauce, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix cooked tortellini with the sauce, then transfer to the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add cooked ground beef or spinach to the sauce.
- Serve hot with a side of garlic bread or salad.
