Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda.
  3. In a separate large bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add the egg and egg yolk, beating until well combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.

  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
