- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 wheel of Brie cheese (8 oz)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4-6 fresh figs, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Fresh thyme sprigs (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth edges.
- Place the Brie wheel onto the center of the pastry sheet.
- Spread honey over the top of the Brie and arrange fig slices on top.
- Wrap the puff pastry around the Brie, sealing the edges.
- Brush the pastry with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Garnish with thyme sprigs if desired, and serve warm with added honey and fig slices.
Notes
- Ensure puff pastry is fully thawed before rolling to prevent tears.
- Serve with crusty bread or crackers for added delight.
- Can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
