Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (penne, fusilli, or spaghetti)

- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream or coconut cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: cherry tomatoes, pine nuts, extra basil for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add basil leaves and cook for another 30 seconds, then stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Return the cooked pasta to the pot, toss to coat evenly with the sauce, and heat through for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve garnished with extra basil, Parmesan, and optional toppings like cherry tomatoes or pine nuts.
Notes
- For a dairy-free version, use coconut milk and dairy-free cheese.
- Adjust the cream for a lighter or richer sauce.
- Preferably serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
