- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add chopped onion, carrots, and celery. Cook until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Return sausage to the pot. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

- You can substitute Italian sausage with turkey sausage for a leaner option.
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
