- 1 lb (450g) beef or chicken, cut into chunks
- 4 large potatoes, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated cheese (optional)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add meat chunks and sear until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Layer sliced potatoes over the meat, season with salt and pepper.
- Pour in heavy cream, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
- Optional: Sprinkle cheese on top and cook uncovered for another 5 minutes until melted.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
You can substitute beef with chicken or turkey. For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
