Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, eggs, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Dip each bread slice into the pumpkin mixture, ensuring it’s well coated.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter.
- Cook the coated bread slices until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- In a separate pan, caramelize pumpkin slices briefly until tender and slightly browned.
- Serve the french toast topped with caramelized pumpkin, nuts, powdered sugar, and syrup as desired.
