- 1 sheet of store-bought puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
- 1/2 cup hot pepper jelly
- Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut puff pastry into 1-inch circles using a cookie cutter or glass.
- Use a small spoon or thumb to make a well in the center of each pastry circle.
- Mix shredded cheese, cream cheese, egg yolk, and thyme in a bowl until well combined.
- Place a spoonful of cheese mixture into each pastry well.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Top each with a small dollop of hot pepper jelly.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
