Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cook sliced smoked sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes, then set aside.
- Toss diced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook in the skillet until golden and crispy, about 10 minutes, or roast in the oven.
- In a large bowl, mix cooked potatoes, sausage slices, ranch dressing, sour cream, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese thoroughly.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrients.
- Use different cheeses such as monterey jack or pepper jack for variety.
- For a leaner version, substitute smoked sausage with turkey or chicken sausage.
- Add hot sauce or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
