Ingredients
Scale
- 1 baguette or Italian bread loaf, sliced
- 200g fresh burrata cheese
- 3 ripe tomatoes, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Balsamic glaze (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Start by combining the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well and set aside to let flavors blend.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lay the bread slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil. Toast in the oven for 7-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- Once the bread is toasted and slightly cooled, spread the tomato mixture generously on each slice. Tear the burrata cheese into chunks and place on top of the tomato topping.
- Finish with a drizzle of olive oil, a splash of balsamic glaze, and red pepper flakes if desired.
- Arrange the prepared bruschetta on a serving platter, garnish with extra basil leaves, and serve immediately for maximum freshness and flavor.
Notes
- Prepare the tomato topping ahead of time and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
- Keep the burrata cheese separate until ready to serve to maintain its creamy texture.
- Store leftover toasted bread in an airtight container to prevent sogginess.
