- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients and buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in blueberries.
- In a small bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan, then dollop and swirl the cream cheese mixture on top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Store leftover bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Reheat slices slightly before serving for a warm treat.
